What is a combined hot runner system?

In combined hot runner systems, the nozzles and manifolds form a simple unit. The melt flows directly from the manifold into the nozzle, so that no deviation or flow will occur. Through the threaded nozzle is embedded in the manifold, eliminating the nozzle and manifold leakage between the phenomenon. Conventional bushing system designs generate thermal expansion, and this combined system is particularly effective in eliminating such leaks.

The modular hot runner system is located in the center of the mold with few connections to the mold and does not require material of high thermal conductivity and does not require clamping and pretensioning of the mold. This minimal connection provides a high-precision and stable temperature profile and therefore consumes much less energy than conventional hot runner systems.


The combined hot runner system can be preassembled independently of the mold hydraulic line. The valve port directly driven by hydraulic equipment can also be installed directly on the system, thus omitting the control valve on the traditional machine, making the injection molding more flexible. In addition, electrical and hydraulic lines can also be configured according to customer requirements. Since the system undergoes electrical, temperature, hydraulic or air pressure testing prior to delivery, customers receive instructions for pre-installation systems that can be easily installed in molds and put into production immediately.


When the mold or system requires routine maintenance, the modular hot runner system can be similarly removed from the mold in a few simple steps, allowing it to be repaired and tested independently of the mold.


Often, combined hot runner systems reduce maintenance costs. The complete hot runner system is based on a combined preconfigured design and installation with the hot runner heater or thermocouple wires removed during assembly. The wires that connect the heater and the power distribution box are housed in a specially designed conduit, which is advantageous for disassembly of the mold or hot runner system. At the same time, the integrated hot-runner system enables maintenance-free routine maintenance, saving time and reducing the chances of assembly errors
